KU unveils plans for “Olympic Village” - Kansas City StarPublished by
It appears that Kansas’ nonrevenue sports will be joining the football and basketball programs in receiving major facilities upgrades. A report released Wednesday by the KU athletic department detailed a master plan to build a $24.6 million “Olympic Village” that will be located in the area south of the Anschutz Pavilion. The plan includes a new 400-meter track and field venue with grandstand seating that would be host to the Kansas Relays, new practice and competition soccer fields with grandstand seating, and grandstand seating for the softball field.
